June 25 - 28, 2019
Are you trying to make a difference in how music and the
arts are used in the church and community? Please join us for the 13th Biennial
National Conference of the United Church of Christ Musicians Association
(UCCMA). This year’s conference will be hosted by First Congregational UCC in
the vibrant community of Madison, Wisconsin. The planning committee has created
a conference that will explore unique elements of music and art to inspire and
uplift attendees. Workshops will range from organ, choral and handbells to drumming, liturgical art,
liturgical movement, to working with a variety of aged voices, and promoting
the arts in a variety of ways.
Each day, attendees will also have the opportunity to
explore Madison, home to the State Capitol and the University of Wisconsin
Badgers. Madison is summertime personified as it is situated between two lakes.
There are plenty of perfect spots to relax and enjoy a view, walk along a
lakeshore path or enjoy a sunset. Shuttles will be available to take attendees
downtown to enjoy museums, touring the capitol, shopping or visiting Frank
Lloyd Wright’s iconic Monona Terrace. There will opportunities to also visit
the university campus and the enjoy the lakeside Union Terrace and indulge in
their famous Babcock Ice Cream while enjoying a beautiful summer scene of lake
and sailboats.
It will be three days well invested to provide resources for
re-energizing your church and community!
